What you’ll need:

I made my goblin using ICE chenille yarn and a 6mm hook. Different yarn and hooksizes will change the size of your goblin

  • Main colour (less than a full skein)
  • Safety eyes or scrap yarn to embroider eyes
  • Stuffing
  • Darning needle
  • Scissors
  • Stich marker or scrap yarn for marking end of round
  • Additional yarns for addons

Head

  1. 6 sc in magic circle (6)
  2. [inc]*6 (12)
  3. [sc, inc]*6 (18)
  4. [sc 2, inc]*6 (24)
    5-8. sc 24 (4 rows)
  5. [sc 2, dec]*6 (18)
    Add face and stuffing
  6. [sc, dec]*6 (12)
  7. [sc, dec]*4 (8)
    fasten off
    leave the little gap!

Notes on the face:
I placed safety eyes inbetween rows 7 and 8, with 5 stitches between them. The noise is embroidered between the eyes.

  1. 4 sc in magic circle (4)
  2. sc*4 (4)
  3. [inc, sc]*2 (6)
  4. [sc, inc]*3 (9)
  5. [sc 2, inc]*3 (12)
  6. [sc 3, inc]*3 (15)
    7.-8. sc 15 (2 rows)
  7. [sc 3, dec]*3 (12)
    10.-11. sc 12 (2 rows)

    fasten off leave
    tail for sewing

Arms (make 2)

  1. 4 sc in a magic circle (4)
  2. inc*4 (8)
    3.-7. sc 8 (5 rows)
    fasten off leave tail for sewing

Legs and body:

  1. sc 5 in a magic cirlce
  2. inc*5 (10)
    3.-6. sc 10 (4 rows)
    fasten off one leg
    Use the tail of the first leg to sew the legs together for 4 stitches. No longer count the sewn stithces .for your row.

7.-11 Sc 16 around

add in 2 extra rows if you want a taller friend

12. dec*8 (8)
